This is ‘Nature Inspires - Chiguru Ecospace [ NICE ]– a certified organic farm and Bio-diversity education centre’. Spread over 13+ acres, NICE is a Biodiversity paradise with a wide variety of natural and domesticated flora and fauna. The centre is in a valley between 2 rustic villages surrounded by beautiful scenic views. Regular farming activities such as agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture and livestock farming are practiced in an integrated model. Nature Inspires - Chiguru Ecospace is involved in creating awareness about native floral(trees and plants) and faunal(animals from small to big) diversity , forgotten foods and healing herbs. The centre is also active in production of open pollinated seeds of traditional or native vegetable varieties and food grains. This unique chemical-free natural heaven is now open for families to visit, camp in the wild (under safe conditions) and experience the best of what unspoilt nature has to offer. In addition, NICE also regularly conducts 3 day residential hands-on farming and Bio-diversity awareness workshop for children between the age 8 and 15 years. The objectives of this workshop is to re-establish the bonding between nature and urban young minds, pulling them away from the ever increasing grip of modern electronic gadgets or the glamorous (and contagious) mall culture. Children get an opportunity to witness and experience life in a working farm, it's simplicity as well as little wonders of nature.
